Gary Ulmer Bio
Gary joined the original staff of the Louisville Redbirds when Triple-A baseball returned to Louisville in 1982. After 2 years with the ball club, he left for a 10-year stint at Liberty National Bank (now Bank One) becoming Vice President in Corporate Banking. In 1993, Gary returned to the ball club, now known as the Bats, as its President. He was also President of MainStreet Creations, the food service company for Louisville Slugger Field from 2000 until its sale to Centerplate in 2003.
Gary is very active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of several key Louisville organizations including:

- Salvation Army – Executive Committee & Treasurer
- Better Business Bureau – Vice Chair, Chair Elect

Ulmer is a lifelong resident of Louisville and a 1975 graduate of St. Xavier High School.In 1979, he received a degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.
His Hobbies include golf and running, having completed 24 straight Derby Festival Mini-marathons. Gary and his wife Leslye have 3 children, 12 year-old Conrad,10 year-old Olivia and 8 year-old Clark.
